The last few years has given rise to a velocity of growth in Downtown Minneapolis that is undeniable. Within this flurry of activity are a lineup of residential condo projects that are shaping our skyline, namely Eleven Condos, The Legacy Minneapolis and the Alia Condos. All of these are at various stages of the development process.  Below we take a look at each project:

Out of the gates early: The Legacy Minneapolis

The Legacy Condos Anyone who drives over the 35W bridge coming out of downtown Minneapolis does not miss the most recent addition to the skyline that is The Legacy Minneapolis.  With 374 units in the building which covers an area larger than any other condo project to date, The Legacy Minneapolis can come across looking like a titan in the city. The visionary behind the project is the late Jim Stanton of Shamrock Development. Since the early 2000s, Jim developed more condos in downtown Minneapolis than any other developer.  Jim Stanton's last project was his most ambitious.  The Legacy Minneapolis seeks to give Buyers an array of amenities and condos at respectable price points.  Now complete, the last few months of closings have started with the building slowly beginning to fill up.  For more details and to view available units for sale please visit The Legacy Minneapolis condos for sale click here.

The premier address in the city: Eleven on the River Condos

The Eleven on the RiverFor some time now, The Carlyle and Phoenix on the River have defined the luxury condo market within downtown Minneapolis.  Because of this, pricing in both buildings increased throughout the last decade from lack of new construction inventory .  Enter Eleven on the River Condos, a 41 story high rise designed by Robert A.M. Stern Architects (RAMSA) based out of New York.  The Eleven condo tower will be located in the east end of the Mill District.  Stern's philosophy of design borrows from the past to create classic, timeless architectural details on the interior and exteriors of all their buildings.  The Eleven condos will deliver a level of detail not seen in the Minneapolis condo market thanks to its developer/builder Ryan Companies and Arcadia LLC, both locally owned real estate companies. Coming soon in Northeast: Alia Condos

Some of the oldest areas of Northeast Minneapolis with layers of historical context can present an absolute boondoggle for any developer trying to put progress to a neighborhood.  Back in late 2014, local developer Alatus LLC proposed the Alia Condos, a high rise on the corner of Central and 2nd St SE.  The area was a historic overlay and had an old funeral home that some neighborhood residents considered Alia Condos for Sale historical in nature.  Patience from the developer after years of wading through the courts and lawsuits have finally given way to the city of the Minneapolis recently approving what will ultimately be a 40 story high rise on the site.  The name shift from 200 Central Condos to the Alia Condos has given a breath of confidence after sitting dormant in the shadows of all the other development taking place downtown.  For more updates on the progress you can visit the developers website right here.
